As promised, the first FOTD for Sara May's May FOTD challenge, this is the finished look for ICE QUEEN.
A close up of the eye makeup.
And the hair:
Well, I just want to say I really admire all the beauty bloggers out there, and I really appreciate all the posts I've read before. This took me sooooo long to do. It started off with research, I was searching online for inspirational pictures and I found an amazing picture but when I tried to recreate it, it went very very wrong. So I had to take off my makeup and try again not using that picture, and this is the second look I came up with. Then I had to play around with my hair, I had a low side bun to start with (pictures below) but it didn't quite feel like Ice Queen, and that's when I suddenly remembered Tanya from pixi2woo had done a video on Chanel inspired hair, and I thought that's perfect for this look!
Okay, I know it sounds a bit like I'm complaining about the hard work, it really is hard work, to get these pictures, I actually took 76 pictures all together! But having said all that, I really really enjoyed myself and had so much fun doing this!! Thank you Sara May for coming up with this challenge!!
Products I've used:
Face: Nars Sheer Glow foundation Gobi, mixed with Chanel Vitalumiere shade 20; Guerlain meteorites compact (as setting powder); Benefit Sugarbomb blush and Benefit Hoola to contour.
Eyes: Urban Decay Book of Shadows 3 NYC palette - Radium, Suspect, Maui Wowie and Uzi (this is the first time I've ever used these super glittery shadows in palette) ; Clinique high length mascara and bottom lash mascara; Urban Decay 24/7 linear - zero.
Lips: Rimmel Lipstick - Nude delight
Nails: Orly Gumdrop and Orly Crazy Diamonds
Not a very wearable look, since it contains the super glittery Maui Wowie and Uzi, but if you switch these two shadows with something less shimmery, then it's a wearable summer look!
Check out Sara May's amazing Ice Queen FOTD here, as well as the other bloggers participating.
I apologize for some of the photos not being very good quality, I really tried my best, hopefully it will improve next time.
